about

This single started life as a project with a simple goal: record a Christmas single with my good friend and amazing vocalist, April Geiger. Now that it is complete and sounding very-nearly professional, I've decided to make this single pay-what-you-want with all profits going to benefit Samaritan's Purse in general and Operation Christmas Child in particular. I hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as I enjoyed producing it - Merry Christmas!

Credits and Thank Yous:
April Geiger - Vocals. Arguably the only reason anyone would want to listen to this track. Thank you for working on this project with me.

Chris Macedo - Acoustic Guitar. Chris is responsible for the great majority of the awesome finger picking you hear. He's also responsible for some sage production advice just when I was getting too close to the mix. Thank you for lending your Taylor and your ears.

Kevin Hughes - Electric Guitar. Kevin played the amazing lead line that accompanies the main vocal on the big Chorus. He also helped beef up my rhythm guitar and added some tasty ethereal bits. Thank you for spending time on a Saturday to not only come over and record, but pick me up because my car wouldn't start!

Daniel Berryhill - Keys, Guitars, Drum performance and programming, Recording, Mastering, etc. Hey! That's my name!

Mom - Parenting. Making me practice piano (and other instruments) when I was a kid even if I didn't want to and, consequently, instilling in me a lifelong love of music.

Track Name: O Come O Come, Emmanuel
O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, thou Dayspring, come and cheer
Our spirits by thine advent here
Disperse the gloomy clouds of night
And death's dark shadows put to flight

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O come, Desire of nations bind
All peoples in one heart and mind
Bid thou our sad divisions cease
And be thyself our King of Peace

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel

O Come, O Come, Emmanuel
And ransom captive Israel
That mourns in lonely exile here
Until the Son of God appear

Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
Shall come to thee, O Israel
